The Career Center Announces Hiring of Agribusiness Planning & Analysis Coordinator
The Washington County Career Center’s Adult Technical Training Center announced the hiring of Amber Peck as Agribusiness Planning & Analysis Coordinator.
The Agribusiness program at The Career Center began in 1972. The program provides business education and support for Agribusiness professionals in the area. The coordinator works primarily with farmers to meet their businesses’ specific needs.
“I am excited to work with the local agriculture community,” said Peck. She added, “farming is an important part of our community in southeastern Ohio. I look forward to providing education and support to ease the burden in the farm offices, so these amazing family farms can do what they do best, feeding their communities!”
Adult Technical Training Director, Evan Schaad, commented, “We are excited to bring Amber on board to continue to offer this long-standing program to our agricultural community. Amber has the skills and background necessary to continue to serve our long-time clients, and she has the foresight that can grow the program to serve new agricultural markets.”
In her free time, Peck serves as the Southeast Ohio Poultry Breeders Association president. She is also a Master Gardener and a member of the River City Farmers Market. Peck resides outside of Waterford with her husband and two children. The family raises chickens on pasture and heritage turkeys on their small family farm.
