The Washington County Career Center – Adult Technical Training has partnered with The GRIT Project to offer free, hands-on training for graduating high school seniors. These short-term programs are designed to help students gain valuable skills, earn industry-recognized certifications, and prepare for immediate employment or further education.
Summer Training Programs: Classes run June 9 – June 27, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM, with lunch provided.
Welding Program:
Hands-on training in MIG welding (Gas Metal Arc).
Opportunity to test for the AWS (American Welding Society) certification.
STNA/CNA Program:
Classroom and hands-on lab training.
Clinical experience at a local healthcare facility.
Includes soft skills training through NHA and CPR certification (American Heart Association).
Prepares students to take the State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA)/Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential exam.
