Adult Technical Training Announces Two IMAP Approved Programs

The Washington County Career Center is excited to announce two upcoming training programs: Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) and Fiber Optic Technician. Both programs are approved for funding through the Individual Microcredential Assistance Program (IMAP), providing opportunities for eligible Ohio residents to enhance their skills and career prospects.  The IMAP program is designed to make high-quality training accessible to all Ohioans at no cost.

The EMT-B program begins February 24 and is 16-weeks. This comprehensive course prepares students to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level. Graduates will be eligible to earn their EMT-B certification, opening doors to careers in emergency medical services and healthcare.

The Fiber Optic Technician class begins January 16 and is 40-hours.  This hands-on program covers the fundamentals of fiber optic installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, culminating in the opportunity to earn an industry-recognized credential.

Both the EMT-B and Fiber Optic Technician programs provide practical, career-ready skills for in-demand jobs. With IMAP funding, eligible students can take advantage of these life-changing opportunities at little to no cost.
