Former Career Center student, Sandra Omspach Morgan, was honored at the May Career Center Board of Education meeting for being inducted into the prestigious Career Center Alumni Hall of Fame. She is a 1975 graduate from the Career Center’s former Business Office Machines program.
Morgan was a single mother during her senior year at the Career Center. She completed her education, married and raised three children. Utilizing her business skills, she found employment with Apex True Value, in Marietta, performing duties in accounts receivable, order entry, inventory control, and billing. The company split and Tri Star Wholesale was formed. She soon moved from working in the office to traveling a territory in Ohio and West Virginia as a sales representative. Looking for a way to increase her monthly income, she obtained a real estate license in 2001 and worked for McCarthy Real Estate.
After Morgan’s children graduated from high school, she decided to move to Florida in order to be close to help her aging parents. In 2003, she obtained a Florida real estate license and was hired with Coldwell Banker Paradise, where she is currently a realtor and property manager. She has received multiple awards for her selfless giving of time toward community service projects such as: Local Board of Realtors – Appreciation Award, United States President’s Volunteer Service Award, Realtor “Rookie” of the Year Award, and Coldwell Banker Paradise – Mallory Killam Award for Community Service.
In addition, Morgan is an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity having worked on the “Realtor” builds 12 out of the last 13 years. Over the years, she has served as the On-Site Team Leader as well as the Realtor Associate Habitat Committee Chair and Co-Chair. She has served as the Acting Chair for Coldwell Banker office “Light Up Sebastian” and participated in the annual 4th of July Parade float decorating committee.
Morgan lives in Sebastian, Florida. She has three grown children, Jennifer Bruce of Williamstown, Brian Karcher of Marietta, and Christopher Karcher of Marietta, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
