Nineteen students from the Washington County Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) youth organization competed and placed in the top four of the BPA Regional Competition at Morgan High School. These students won the honor of advancing to the State competitive events, in Columbus, which will be held March 16-17. From this event, those students who place in the top of their category will move on to the National level, which will be held in Orlando, Florida, May 10-14.

Advanced Word Processing – 2nd Place: Jewels Best is a senior from Marietta in the Health Information Technology program and she is the daughter of Larry and Sabrina Best of Marietta
Basic Office Systems & Procedures – 3rd Place: James Covey is a junior from Marietta in the Health Information Technology program and he is the son of Robert Covey of Marietta and the late Lisa Patterson
Broadcast News Production Team – 1st Place: Quinton Anderson is a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Jason and Michelle West of Little Hocking; Nathan Lewis is a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Betsy Boone of Fleming and the grandson of Joan Beardmore of Fleming; Jane Mahan is a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Webster Mahan of Little Hocking and Tonja Mahan of Little Hocking; and Ethan Ritchie is a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Andy Ritchie of Marietta and Tiffany Swain of Marietta
