Ohio Talent Ready Grant

The objective of the Talen Ready Grant is to grow and expand workforce credentials and increase the number of Ohioans with a credential. ​ The Talent Ready Grant will provide financial assistance up to, but not exceeding, $3,000 to eligible students enrolling at The Career Center - Adult Technical Training to obtain their training and certification. Eligible programs for the grant must be less than 900 hours.

 Guidelines

• Must be a current resident of Ohio.

• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and accept any need-based state or federal grants to which you are entitled.

• Provide proof of selective service registration (if applicable).

• Awarded applicant must maintain a 2.0 GPA and 90% attendance each quarter.

• Awarded student may receive up to $3,000, not to exceed total program cost.

• Awards are disbursed Quarterly.

• Priority deadline is 3 weeks prior to the start of the quarter.

• Apply for a Talent Ready Grant eligible program (see list below).

• Meet with Financial Aid Representative Wendy Ketelsen.

• Complete the Talent Ready Grant Application.

• CDL

• Chemical Technician

• EMT – Basic

• HVAC/R

• Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

• Instrumentation & Electricity

• Medical Billing & Coding

• Phlebotomy

• State Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA)

• Welding
